Through the leadership of County Commissioner Brian Maughan, Oklahoma County launched the SHINE Program in 2011. SHINE stands for Start Helping Impacted Neighborhoods Everywhere. SHINE works hand in hand with neighborhood associations, local community groups and the business community to insure a safer and cleaner Oklahoma County! 

SHINE programs include: SHINE Community Service, Students for SHINE, Citizens for SHINE, SHINE Community Gardens and SHINE on Music.
